Harriman State Park

Monday we decided to go out to Harriman State Park, it is only about 45 minutes from here, right close to Island Park, and on the way to Yellowstone. We had a really good time. We hiked around Silver Lake. It was a really pretty trail, and we were able to take our jogger on it. It actually worked GREAT!! Daniel was able to sleep, eat, and enjoy the outside with us. He really likes that stroller. It is a good thing, because we use it a lot!

We also went and found 2 geocaches in that area. If you don't know what that is go to www.geocaching.com for more information. One was back in the woods, so we wandered around off of the path for about 10 minutes before finding it. That was fun. The other was just off of the road in one of the metal fence things. (the thing that keeps you from going off of the road). That was was a really creative hiding spot.

We had a lot of fun just getting outside and playing. My favorite thing we saw was a turtle on a log, just taking a sun bath. We also saw a beaver, plenty of chipmunks, spiders, and lots of birds and ducks. We both really liked seeing all of the wildlife, even if we didn't see anything bigger than a bird.
